Woke up at 2am40 after four hours of sleep, one hour drive, a bit of rain but it worth it . I ran 10k in 37’30 in a progressive manner which was perfectly my objective: to run at Half-Marathon pace & to do a negative split after a heavy week training .
It lead to a podium which is always nice .I finished my last kilometer in like 3’24 and enjoyed the run quite a lot. Being able to sustain that pace on a 10k in (a short) future is still my objective .
My expectations three weeks ago on my 3k trial were far to be fulfilled . I ran it in 9’43 slowing down a lot in between each kilometers (which is a tough scenario lol). 3k Preparation went well overall but I was not focused enough and it was not enough.Pocari Sweat Run Việt Nam is coming in 6 weeks and we will see how close of 16 min I will be on 5k .
I am good physically even if I need to continue reinforcing my core / caring about nutrition . Also glad to mention my super pretty new toy, a Polar Vantage V, which allows me to join my coach Teddy Paul who has the Titan model (thanks to him for his constant support during two years and a half ) and very happy to represent Polar in Vietam (thanks Polar Watch Vietnam team ).
